Serpil Ahmetkocaoğlu (Philosophy)

Serpil Ahmetkocaoğlu completed her bachelor’s degree at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Department of Philosophy (2009) and her MA degree in 2013 at Ankara University, Department of Philosophy, Department of History of Science. She then achieved her Ph.D. in the same department with the dissertation titled “A Research on the Origins of the Idea of the Law of Nature” in 2020 and started her career as a research assistant at the Department of Philosophy at Ardahan University. “History of Science”, “Philosophy of Science” and “Social Sciences and Logic” are the courses that she currently lectures at Ardahan University. Her main fields of study are Comparative Medieval Islam and Christian History of Science and Philosophy of Science.

Seçkin Sarpkaya (Folklore)

Dr. Sarpkaya is working as a lecturer at Ege University Institute of Turkish World Studies. He completed his master and doctorate in Turkish Folklore Department at the same institute. Dr. Sarpkaya does scientific researches mostly on oral culture and digital culture in the field of Turkish folklore, he publishes national and international works on myths, folk tales, legends, anecdotes and proverbs of Turkish World, especially Iranian Turks and Azerbaijani Turk, and also video game culture. He has got a paper award and a doctoral thesis award.

Semra Çevik (Fine Arts)

Semra Çevik graduated from Gazi University, Gazi Education Faculty, Painting Education Department in 1986. In 1988, she was appointed as an Instructor in Gazi Education Faculty, Painting Education Department. Çevik completed his master’s degree in Art Proficiency from Gazi University Social Sciences Institute in 1990 and with the thesis on “Political Posters 1946-1993” in 1993. She became Associate Professor in 2017. In addition to her artistic works, she prepared the “Photographer and Graphic Artist” standard for the Turkish Standards Institute and between 2005-2010 she prepared and presented the “Tea Time” talk show program with art news and agenda topics at Radio Gazi. She opened nine solo exhibitions and participated in more than thirty national and international exhibitions along with. Semra Çevik who also has a book called “Cornerstone of Graphic Designer“ and she still continues his scientific and artistic studies as the head of the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts at Ardahan University. Besides her art workshops, she works on aesthetics, women’s issues and mythology.

Zeynep Uludağ (Psychology)

Zeynep Uludağ completed her bachelor degree in psychology in Hacettepe University (2010) and her MSc in health psychology in University of Leeds (2015). She also carried on her PhD in University of Leeds (2020). Consequently, she has started working in Ardahan University in 2020 as an academic member. The lectures she delivers in Ardahan University are as followings; psychology of art, industrial and organisational psychology, research technics, searching database in science and introduction to psychology. Lastly her research interests are neuroimaging, decision making and stress.

Fasih Dinç (History)

Fasih Dinç completed his bachelor’s degree in Kırıkkale University, Department of History in 2011. In 2012, he started to work as a research assistant at the Department of History at Ardahan University. He completed his MA degree in 2014 and his PhD in 2020 at Hacettepe University, Department of History. Tribes, heterodox belief groups, socio-cultural history and borders in the eastern geography of the 19th century Ottoman Empire are the academic research subjects of Fasih Dinç. Dinç, who has been giving lectures on Ottoman History, Ottoman Turkish, History of Modern Turkish States, History of Modernization and History of Islam at Ardahan University since 2020, has articles, papers and book reviews published in his field.

Yavuz Yeğin (Archaeology)

Yavuz Yeğin graduated from the University of Mersin with a degree in archeology in 2010. During his studies, Dr. Yeğin studied as an Erasmus student as part of the Erasmus exchange program between 2009-2010. After completing his studies, he completed his master’s degree in 2015 and then PhD in 2019 under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ayşe Emel Erten graduated from Gazi University. He took part in the excavations in Olba during and after his studies. Since 2021 he has been the head of the excavations in Olba. Dr. Yeğin focuses his work on early Christian art and architecture. Yeğin, whose scientific studies have been published in many national and international books and magazines, gives lectures on sanctuaries in Anatolia, Greek culture and art at Ardahan University.
